Senior Youth Group February 19 – 10:30 AM Youth Group Mass 39th Annual March for Life in Washington, DC Thank you to all who attended the 39th Annual March for Life in Washington, DC. The day was a great success with estimates of 500,000 people attending. More than half of our bus was filled with enthusiastic students who were surprised at just how many people come to the March, especially the college and high school students. Please continue to pray for the protection of the unborn and be willing to stand up against such an injustice. Women’s Retreat The women of our Parish are invited to St. Joseph’s Women’s Cornerstone Retreat, 50 Main Street, High Bridge, on March 2 & 3, 2012. This is a 26-hour retreat from our daily routines, a time to reflect and grow spiritually amongst other Christian women. Enjoy an opportunity to strengthen your faith and experience nurturing fellowship of peace, prayer and partnership. Please contact either Carol Loozen, 638 6740, or Tracy Monaco, 638-8279, for more information. Senior Outreach Program St. Ann and St. Joachim Senior Outreach Program was established in 1994 as a means to make contact with the senior members of our parish and keep them connected to the rest of the parish family. Participants come from the Hunterdon Hills Rest Home and also from other private homes. Transportation is provided by the Hunterdon Hills van along with volunteers from our parish. Once a month we gather together at St. Ann’s Parish House from 9:30 AM-12:00 Noon and offer our seniors a time for socialization, prayer and spirituality, a craft or special guest, and finally a hot meal prepared by other volunteers from the parish. Anyone interested in helping by providing a portion of the meal once every few months, can contact Denise McGowan at 537-6906. 2011 Bishop’s Annual Appeal In Faith, With Hope Your contribution to the Bishop’s Annual Appeal helps to sustain the ministry of the Office of the Diaconate which extends its efforts in the recruitment, selection and training of men who, through prayer and discernment, have recognized their calling to the permanent diaconate. Please consider making a gift today. Please Support The Catholic Spirit The Catholic Spirit, our diocesan newspaper, is distributed in all parishes as well as in schools, hospitals, prisons, nursing homes and other locations.
